Should I try heroin?

No. Just look at story of Reddit user u/SpontaneousH when he tried it.

u/SpontaneousH was a Reddit user who posted in r/IAmA back in 2009, claiming that he just tried heroin for the first time, and that he wasn't going to do it again, and that he would answer any questions people asked him about it. He was warned by multiple users, that even though he was thinking that it was a one time thing, it could easily make him an addict.

In one of the comments u/SpontaneousH said: "I'm starting to get that sense that I will want to do it again (alright, I do, how could I not?) and I'm going to have to heed these warnings and have a lot of self control.".

Ignoring all warnings, and thinking he had self control, he ended up doing heroin again. He made another post, 2 weeks later, on r/IAmA with the title "2 weeks ago I tried heroin 'once for fun' and made an AMA, I have been using since and shot up for the first time today, AMA".

He had been doing heroin for 2 weeks straight, even though he stated that he was never going to do it again in his first post. This shows the power of heroin. Even a guy with a lot of self control ended up becoming addicted by doing it once for fun. Luckily, in a post made 3 years ago, he said that it had taken him between 1-2 years to become clean again - and that he regretted ever touching heroin.

Nah, stimulants are better

Depends on if your personality is addictive and if opiates are your cup of tea. I've known a few people who can play with hard drugs and never get addicted. I was not one of them and it destroyed my life.
