That depends on how you want it done.The simplest way is to boil it for 5-10 minutes. 5 minutes still leaves it runny inside. 10 minutes makes the whole thing solid. You can have the water boiling first, or put the egg in then start boiling the water. It makes a slight difference, so trial and error is good there.You can also scramble it. Crack the egg into a bowl and whisk with a fork until its all yellow. Heat the pan to medium temperature, with a little oil or butter or margarine. add the egg, then just move it around with a spatula or something until it looks like scrambled eggs. once its almost done take it off, cus if you leave it too long then it'll be dry and lame.those are the most basic ones
If you truly wants a different take on the fried egg, take a shallow pan and heat sunflower oil.Be generous with the quantity of oil.Add salt to heating oil.When the oil is very hot, crack open the egg onto oil carefully. Mix the egg lightly within the oil. Turn it , and a few seconds later, the egg is done.Serve hot.
